I Want To Be Like Mike
A Quiet Moment of Encouragement With Mike Huckabee
I want to share something personal with those of you who have been standing with me in prayer, service, and support.
While I was recently in Israel, I had the privilege of meeting privately with Ambassador Mike Huckabee. This wasn’t a public appearance. There were no cameras, no announcements, and no media. In fact, I forgot to take a picture with him.
Just a quiet, meaningful conversation and prayer.
Mike Huckabee understands something very few people do. Before he ever became governor, he was a pastor. And he ran as a Republican in a state that many said would never elect one. The odds were stacked against him. People said it was impossible.
And yet, God did it.
During our time together, he prayed over me and spoke words of encouragement that went straight to the heart of this moment. He reminded me not to let others define what is “possible” or “impossible,” because when God calls, He also makes a way.
“When God calls, He also makes a way.”
I know many of you look at California and think, A pastor? A Republican? Governor?
I understand those questions.
But I was reminded again that God has a long history of doing what others say cannot be done.
Mike prayed over this calling, over California, and over what God is preparing to do. Not just politically, but spiritually. That prayer strengthened me deeply, and I believe it will strengthen you too.
Below, you’ll find an audio recording of that prayer. I wanted you, our volunteers, donors, church family, and partners to hear it firsthand.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing. And thank you for trusting that with God, all things are possible.
In Him,
Papa Che
